Privacy Policy

Paylogic respects your privacy. National legislation requires us to some of your personal data to collect, which is necessary for the handling of a financial transaction. With respect to your privacy, we have made a great effort to minimize this number to as little as legally possible. Paylogic takes the privacy of your personal data very seriously and will use your information only in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy. We will not sell or rent your personally identifiable information to third parties. However, as described in more detail in Part C below, there are limited circumstances in which some of your data  will be shared with third parties, under strict restrictions.

This statement regarding the privacy of the personally identifiable information you provide online to Paylogic covers six key areas: (A) Knowledge, (B) information we collect, (C) Use and disclosure of information, (D) Safety of information, (E) access and modify your information, and (F) contact us.

A. knowledge

Paylogic sets this Privacy Policy available to make you conscious of the way your personal information is collected and used.

Paylogic Netherlands BV or any other entity of Paylogic will be hereinafter referred to in this document as "we" or "Paylogic".

By agreeing to our Terms during your registration at Paylogic you automatically accept the terms of this Privacy Policy, which implies explicit agreement to our use and disclosure of your personal information in the manner as described in this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy is in force since 1 October 2005 and was last updated on June 28, 2013.

Please note that your information will be stored on servers located in the Netherlands. The use of this information is limited and regulated by Dutch law and if you have agreed to our German Terms by German law.

B. The information we collect

Required information

To process a financial transaction via the Paylogic System, we are are obliged to ask you for the following personal information: name, surname, address, zip code, city and country.

In order to approach you about the status of your transaction, or to send you the tickets you requested, we will ask you for your email address. Your phone number we ask from you to get in touch with you in the event there is a problem with your order or with the event (not in any other case). Your date of birth is required to determine whether the purchasing person is old enough to be allowed to do this (general provision for purchases) and / or anyone is old enough to go to the event.

Additional Information

At the request of our Merchants (customers), we may ask you for more personal information or preferences. These requests can be both mandatory and nonmandatory. At the request of our Merchants we may refuse your application if you do not provide us with the required information or preferences.

Our Use of "Cookies"

"Cookies" are small files of data that you have on your computer and allow us to recognize you when you return to our site using the same computer and browser. Cookies enable us to collect information about the use of our services information and you to improve and adapt to the needs of our visitors.

We use of cookies for the following purposes:

  • Paylogic’s Cookies are only used functionally. The Cookie is used to store a ‘token’ to determine the steps/decisions during the purchase of the consumer on the Paylogic Platform.

  • For the use of Google Analytics, which use is also only functional and don’t has the purpose to trace you. We have in fact anonymised the IP address of the consumer to comply with Dutch law. We use the Google Analytics cookies only to improve our Service to the Merchant and the Consumer, by for example the search for errors in the System and the monitoring of high turnover rate within our ‘queuring’ System in the Cloud.

  • AddThis (optional), We offer a plug-in to share an URL via AddThis. When this is enabled, a container with iFrames to Facebook, Google+ and Twitter gets recharged and Cookies will be pushed by these three parties to the browser.

C. The use and the publication of the information

Internal use

We collect, store and process your personal information on our own servers in the Netherlands. We use the information we collect about you in order to (a) provide our services and process your transactions, (b) to offer the customer service, and (c) to improve our services. We only give our employees who have to answer Customer Service questions and requests access to individually identifiable information.

Disclosure to third parties

Paylogic will not share your personally identifiable information with third parties, except to the described below and described in the following limited circumstances. These third parties are limited by law or by contract to use the information for secondary purposes than the purposes for which the information is shared. Paylogic is entitled to share your personal information with the following parties:

  • Financial institutions required for processing your payment, for which certain information is necessary.

  • Fulfillment other than e-tickets, such as postal fulfillment which require address data and mobile fulfillment which require mobile phone numbers.

  • Merchants which have a User Agreement with Paylogic. The Merchant organising an Event for which you buy a ticket via Paylogic has access to your information in order to deliver the purchased service ( ie access to the event). However this information may only be used as described in the General Terms and Conditions from Paylogic, which you agree with during your registration in our Front Office.

a) We disclose all present (personal) information to third parties, from which we believe in good faith that it is suitable to support investigations of fraud or other illegal activity, or to conduct investigations to violations of our User Agreement. This occurs in situations, including but not limited, investigations by credit card companies for payment fraud or police investigations to payment fraud.  

b) We provide information in response to a (summon, warrant, court order, levy, distraint, order of a court-appointed curator or other comparable legal process, including summons from private parties in a civil procedure.

c) We disclose information to your agent or legal representative (such as the holder of a power of attorney that you granted or a guardian appointed to you).

d) we share aggregated statistical data with our business partners or for public relations. In this case we can publish that a percentage of our Merchants (customers) makes use of a certain payment method.

e) As with any ohter business, it is possible that Paylogic could merge with or be acquired by another company in the future. If such an acquisition occurs, the successor company would have access to the information maintained by getting Paylogic, including personal data, but the company will continue to be bound by this Privacy Policy.

f) We share your information with our parent company, subsidiaries and joint ventures for the coordination of the services we provide to you, to enforce our Terms and promote the confidence and safety.

g) To offer to our Merchants (customers) our service, we share your transaction status information and transaction identifiers with the Merchants you pay. We do not share bank details or credit card information.

h) To offer our service to our Merchants we share your personally identifiable information with our Merchants. Both the required information and the additional information. We do not share bank details or credit card information.

Contact with our customers

Paylogic will not use your personal information to inform you in cases other than a change in status of Purchase Rights, confirming the opening of your Paylogic Account, reporting the status of the payment, or a payment error or Payment Fraud

D. information Security

Paylogic is committed to treating your personal information with high standards of information security. We restrict access to your personally identifiable information to employees who need the information to offer our service to you. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with the European laws and regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information. We regularly test our Security systems, including but not limited to, our security standard PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard).

The security of your Paylogic account is also guaranteed by the protection of your Paylogic password. You may not just share your password with others. We will never ask you to send us your password or any other sensitive information to our e-mail address, although we might  ask you to enter this kind of information on the website of Paylogic.

All transactions of (personal) information, both for you and for others, happen via secure channels (SSL protocols). We urge you to check the authenticity of the certificates to ensure safety of the connection to our servers.

E. Access to and alteration of your information

You can evaluate the personal information that you provide us yourself and apply any desired change on your information, or to the institutions of your Paylogic account at any time by logging into your account on the Paylogic website and change your preferences in the Profile Page.
